Playing Outdoors

Do you think Briston, my grandson is ready for Spring yet? If you can get to the dirt, bring the dirt to you. He has been playing in the plants in the house. He has cabin fever just like the rest of us. He loves it outside, even if it is cold. Will have to get pictures of him playing in the snow.
Keep those names coming for the give away for Miss Mouse.

Stay warm and creative,
RoseMary

Miss Mouse can't wait

Thank You all for checking Miss Mouse out, and leaving names for her.
Tell your friends, and on Feb 4, Briston, my grandson will draw a name to see who the winner is.
I will post the name on the 4th or 5th, depends on when he draws the name.
Keep in Touch and let me know what your doing in the art world.

It snowed again today, and we got about 6 to 8 inches out there.
I know I would like some color, but then isn't white a color, what about ice?
Hubby and I shoveled the driveway tonight, so I could get my car out tomorrow, just in case I needed to rescue some fabric or art supplies from somewhere.
Better go and work on my panel quilt or collage.

Take Care all and keep warm where ever you may be,
RoseMary

Name for Miss Mouse Give Away

Beth Ann from Cincinnati, Ohio, is the first to give some names for Miss Mouse.
Merriam, Marie and Clara, I like Merriam so far, but I'm not choosing the name.
Briston, my grandson will draw the name on Feb 4th, so get in on the fun and help choose a name for her. Don't forget to post a comment.
Looking forward to see what names you come up with. Think out of the box if you want to.

Have a happy day creating!

Please Read HoneyPot Swap post

I have been asked how I made the mouse. I didn't make the mouse, Nancy Evans of Idaho did. It was for a Sercet Santa swap we did from Bee Sew Whimsical. So Nancy, please tell us how you made the mouse.

Give Away

Miss Mouse is not the item for the give away.

The items for the give away will include mixed media goodies, fabric, beads, and who knows what else may show up in the package.

I think Miss Mouse's first appearance will be at the luncheon given by the Sew Happy Quilt Guild out of Alliance, Ohio on Feb 14th. So check back and see what she is up to. I don't know she may show up earlier, anywhere around Ohio. So check back.

Miss Mouse Give Away

OK, here is the deal with Miss Mouse!

She needs a name, a story line to go with her.
Please leave a comment re: a name for her and a story line.
Her story has to do with art, quilts, mixed media, or anything of the creative nature.
I will take the names and I will have my grandson Briston draw the name on Feb 4th, my birthday.
I will post the name of the winner on Feb 5th.

Have fun and please past this on and post on your blog.
Happy mouseing,
RoseMary

HoneyPot Swap

Ladies and fellow bloggers,
I really enjoyed doing the HoneyPot Swap.
Look forward to next swap.
Here are the great items from Nancy Evans of Idaho, who use to live in Ohio.
Thank You, Nancy.

I LOVE the mouse, I think she needs a story to go with her. Any ideas out there ladies?

May prayers go out Nancy's Mom and Dad.
Be creative,
RoseMary

Field Trip

I am not a person who always plans a trip or things out first, I just do them.
I emailed Sue Spargo last night to see if she was going to be open today.
She emailed me back to say yes, she was.
So off to her shop, which is in her home. I had never been there before, what a great place to be
able to go on a short notice. It took about 45 minutes to get to her home. It was a wonderful day for a drive.
Picked up some wool and beads, and some really cool metal buttons.
Here is her blog, if you have never seen her work.

She has an online shop site also.

Take care till next time.

New Year 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009

You can't see his face, but this is my grandson "Briston" and he is celebrating the new year.

We started the year off by putting Christmas ornaments and tree away and cleaning most of the house.
I have already started on making my new year a better one, then the last year. One thing that drives me crazy and stressed are my surroundings. I cannot put into words just how much I dislike wallpaper. I have never seen wallpaper that I can say I like.
When we moved into this home in 2006, one of the things it had and still has in some rooms, is wallpaper.

I took the paper out of the upstairs bathroom first, that was in Aug 2006, painted it, sea foam green.

I did paint the hallway the last time he was gone for business.

Nov 2008, I took the paper out of the kitchen and painted it cozy cottage white on top and a darker beige on bottom of the chair rail. With accent color of red and my collection of cookie molds. I love to take old things, yard sales finds, flea market items and use them in other places.
There is an old wood table now in the nook, that has been painted red with black highlights.

The dinning room is next. I am making my surroundings more pleasing, less stressful.
Even tho, my hubby said don't start anything that we can't finish in a weekend, I will start it when he's away for business. That's what I did last time, and it's done.

So, here's to you and a less stressful year.
I only have three quilt projects going on right now.
A large 4 panel quilt, that 3 other ladies are doing also, we are doing the four seasons and I have fall.
A wall hanging collage for my DIL.
A quilted tin for a swap with my F.A.T. group.
I still need to work on my sewing room, that area is stressful.

Take the bull by the horns and have a great year.

Last Snow 2008

Yesterday was the end of another year, if yours was not what you wanted it to be, ask yourself "Why"?
Now take the steps to change your New Year. Make 2009 what you want it to be.
Make a list, if you must.
Read that self help book.
Start an exercise program.
Learn to say "NO".
Volunteer, in your community.
Take it slow and BREATHE!

May many Blessings come your way!
RoseMary
